We’ve had a fish pond for years and something went terribly wrong last year when a rampant algae took over.
Michael has worked hard to clean it and ready it for fish with this ‘planting’ being the second last step.
These water plants are part of our anti algae plan.
They’re anchored into hydroponics pots so should settle there happily and probably spread. 😊
If you’re wondering what our pond used to be, it was a shower base. The kind that makes a tiny bath in the bottom.
Next weekend we’ll be bringing home fish and little catfish (they’ll be the main cleaners).
We’re looking forward to this.
While we were out today we picked up some annuals to pop into a garden which gets too much sun and heat to support any food plants over our Summer.
The leftovers went into a pot by the step. YAY for patches of colour.
Wishing you a JOY filled week.
